I watched that documentary again this weekend. My favorite part is when Mandella asks Pleasantly Perfect "Moose are you ever going to win a race?" or the part where he says he wished he'd stopped bidding on him at $700,000. Now who's laughing.

This is the yearling I want:

#168 Bay colt - Tiznow x Leaseholder
He is a full brother to Tough Tiz's Sis. Very good looking colt! Love the Tiznows.

I wonder how much is in my piggy bank... ha ha!

The way the Tiznow's seem to be selling I think if we both chip in Mary we can get us one.

The guy who bid 1 million on the Kingmambo filly was drunk and didn't have credit. He's off the sales grounds and the filly will be reoffered later.

Beckron I've gone through the piggy bank and all the change in the couch. We may be able to go halfs on the Tiznow colt if Sheik Mo and Vince P. don't get in a bidding war.

EDIT: Tiznow - Leaseholder went for $350,000. Had to sell my baseball card collection.

$1,600,000 Bernardini out of Teeming

He might make it.

#39 Bernardini - Teeming filly was not sold, must not have met the reserve.

I was surprised too, but not having ever been to a sale, anyway I checked the results last night and she wasn't sold.

Since Bernardini belongs to the Sheik, he was there to back his stud. If he doesn't do well here he will send him to England or Ireland.

Okay if I take my new purse back I think I can come up with total $104. What will that buy? A sock?

Checked the private sale and nothing for this one. I think this was the one they said was pinhooked and they purchased for $1,450,000 or thereabouts and I guess $1,600,000 wasn't enough.

I still have an old horseshoe from Keeneland last year. With your money in the pot we only need two more, plus the horse.
I couldn't get that kind of money even for a Honus Wagner card.
