Major NBC gaffe after Hambletonian OaksSo Donna Brother's rides up to one of two horses in a photo for the win (2-Raising Rachel) and tells the driver Jack Moiseyev he has won the photo and his first $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks -- problem is the photo showed the other horse (4-Broadway Schooner) as the winner -- guess you shouldn't call the winner 'till the photo comes down!

Re: Major NBC gaffe after Hambletonian OaksI can understand that gaffe, I though Raising Rachel got up on the last stride as well. She was blocked all over the place, though she nearly overcame driver stupidity of not coming out when she had the chance to, and it probably cost her the win in that regard.

Wallyhorse, as in the immortal words of Johnny Mac., "You cannot be serious." This, of course, is a major gaffe, come to your senses. A "reporter" can't s up to a guy who just got beat and ask how does it feel to finally win the Hambo Oaks. Major Gaffe. Irrelevant, that drive may have cost filly the race!
Re: Major NBC gaffe after Hambletonian OaksExactly Bigich13. Though surely not intentional it was a very embarrassing moment -- and as I noted a major gaffe. She surely should have waited until the photo came down before "telling" the poor driver he had won a $750K stakes.
