My guess is the turf will be yielding or good Saturday. Raindrops are starting to fall and we are supposed to have thunderstorms all afternoon and into the evening. Additionally, a dome of hot, humid air is supposed to settle in over Chicago making this the hottest weekend of the year so far....I plan to avoid any Euro not on lasix when it gets this hot.

Salami was the horse's name

looking forward to a great day cause beautiful Arlington Park is anti-IRS and player-friendly - in addition to the standard wagers and dime stoopers, offer .50 cent Tris on R1-12, early P4 starting with R2, $1 Pick 6 races 5 -10, mid-P4 starting R6, something called a $1 Festival P3 beginning in R7, (not sure why the special designation because there's rolling p3s) and R9 starts the late P4 - good luck all !

My thoughts on the Arlington Million..

The pick in the race is #8 Cima de Triomphe (9/2 ML). Last time out, he ran against the three best horses in England: Sea the Stars, Rip Van Winkle, and Conduit. He ran 4th, which was about as well as he was finish that day. Two back, he nipped Conduit on the line and is a G1 winner in Italy. Only beaten 6 lengths in the Arc. Lemaire takes the mount and faces much softer company here in the US. Likes fast turf.

Also using Gio Ponti, who is the logical favorite since he's been on a tear at Belmont and can run on anything..

I think Mr. Sidney is a live longshot, even if the turf comes up firm, because with the rain, it won't be hard, and has rarely run a bad one on the turf..

It was hot at the 2008 BC they looked washy all week...and then they dominated, be careful.

I'll stick with Presious Passion getting loose on the front end again and holding off the late charges. 6/1 on the ML.
