Quality Road Returns

Postby Dgstan » Mon Aug 03, 2009 10:40 am

Sorry if I missed this discussion, but Quality Road makes his return in the GII Amsterdam at Saratoga this afternoon. I always felt that this guy was the best of the crop.

Good race. Everyday heroes and Capt. Candyman can are no scrubs and Cutom for Carlos has some speed if I remember correctly. I think we will know how healthy he is after today.

I've got the very distinct feeling that the owner is exerting heavy pressure to get this horse to the Travers. That kind of pressure is rarely a good thing.

i really thought quality road was the hoss to beat in this year's ky darby but since i had a pretty large future book bet on freaking chocolate donkey, i was sorta glad at the time that he was scratched from the race. i think chocolate donkey is still running and trying to finish the race likes rick's natural star for crissakes.

Don't know what the 6.5F track record is @ SAR, but 1:13 2/5 can't be too far off, no?

Freakish is right.

Might be a play against in his next race if you believe in the Bounce Theory..
