Monmouth SpillsAlready two spills in two races today? WTF???
How many horses involved? "And Afleet Alex just ran right by Giacomo like he was standing still!"

Re: Monmouth SpillsFrom the 4th race at Monmouth -- Two horses involved, both all right though one has some lacerations. One jockey (Channing Hill) is in the jock's room and OK, the other (Jiminez, an apprentice) is going to the hospital.

Re: Monmouth Spills
Do you have any info about the earlier spill? How many horses involved? Injuries to horses or jockeys'? "And Afleet Alex just ran right by Giacomo like he was standing still!"

Re: Monmouth SpillsAnyone else think the track is bad there today??
They should scratch Rachel imo..no need to run her on a messy racetrack.. Certified non player
Re: Monmouth Spills5th at Monmouth -- Tale of Victory looked like a breakdown, unfortunately, and the jockey (Cotto) was thrown.
Scary stuff. Edited to add: Tale of Victory put down, Cotto going to hospital. Mary MMM Last edited by Moonwalker on Sun Aug 02, 2009 10:16 am, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Monmouth SpillsHow many ambulances do they have at the track. They might have to wait for a while until they get more ambulances, I don't think you can run a race with no ambulance there. I think they should consider canceling with jocks getting hurt in 2 races in a row plus injuring the horses
Re: Monmouth SpillsI think in the fourth race, the 3,7,8 DNF and the 5 was the one with the cuts, but all were okay horse wise and of course Jiminez to the hospital. No chart yet.
Re: Monmouth SpillsI vote to scratch her.

Susan Lulgjuraj PressofAtlanticCity.com "OCEANPORT - Jockey Fabrizio Jimenez was thrown from his horse and trampled in the fourth race at Monmouth Park before the Haskell Invitational on Sunday afternoon. He suffered a fractured right hip, tibia and fibula, as well as a possible fractured right ankle, according to Jersey Shore Trauma Center's Medical Director Angelo Chinnici."
