My wife was kind enough to allow me to take an entire day away from the family to participate in the free, on-line Haskell handicapping contest (which, I was competitive in for the first half of the tourney - but, fell apart late). I was watching the races on TVG when a trivia question was posed? I believe the question was identifying the last horse (or, only horse) to win both the San Diego Handicap and Pacific Classic...to which, I responded with Skimming in 2001. I was lucky enough to answer the question correctly via e-mail - and, be "picked" from the winning responses.

Thanks to Mary for the offer of free seats and admission if I can travel from Idaho to Del Mar to participate in the poker tourney. I am looking at options...hopefully I can travel down and meet some of the folks off the forum, as well!

If I can't make it - I'm going to check with TVG and see what the options are if I can't travel down.

I'm still deliberating whether I will come to Del Mar for the poker tourney - but, I contacted TVG and the charity organizer today to ask if I could transfer my seat to one of my acquaintances from the Del Mar Fan Forum ...to my surprise...I was told that the seat was non-transferable(sorry JDinSD77...knew you wanted to participate) . I also expressed that I'd gladly return the seat to TVG for re-issue if they'd agree to post my "check-mark selections" on air for on one card on a Saturday or Sunday at either Del Mar or Saratoga...to which I received no response.

I guess you win a prize on TVG and if you can't use it, you're out! Kinda like my Pick 4 selections...close, but no Cigar!
