I really thought that it would come down to Big Drama and MTB in the end, with Big Drama winning. I was definitely shocked by the result.

Mud wouldn't hurt, but ultimately he's just not as good as a typical Derby Winner is. He's regressed each start since the Derby and has shown less and less of that late run.

Mike Smith should suspend himself for that ride. He pushed MTB WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too early on the backstretch. I don't know what he thought he was doing. MTB is NOT a grinder, he's a one run horse. I don't know too many one run horses that can sustain a bid for 5 furlongs and the pace was hot enough for him to close into.

Too much weight for him #1 and he hated the track but still got 3rd. He is a small horse and 11 pounds come on.
