Cory's Resurgence...

Postby Delmar1 » Sun Jul 26, 2009 4:56 am

It was rough seeing Nakatani take that tumble last year. He didn't look the same during the Hollywood Park races, but after yesterday, it looks like he's getting back to form.

abolsolutely no reason Nak cant get back into the Top 3 in So. Cal "if" he wants to. Think right now would rather bet him that Gomez.

If he wants to? Get real. Corey doesn't get enough mounts let alone the "live" mounts. His best days are well behind him.

Is he benefitting from Raffi's absence? How else would you explain multiple winners yesterday?

Good point but if you recall opening day when Raf went down, none of his horses came ITM. At least not that I recall. Even though CN has picked up a few more horses with Raf's absence, a rider needs some skill to bring the horses in.

Exactly, it was 1 day. Let's see if he can do it more than once before proclaiming him comeback player of the year.

"If" he wants to means keeping couple things with Nak...1) keep weight down, think has been over 120 pds for most of the past two years...2) show up the morning and work some horses. Think most with a clue know those are two reasons he has been down for a bit, its not that he cant ride or forgot how. "Best days are behind him", thats only because he has not put in full effort in the above areas.

Don't forget to give his new agent Tom Knust alot of credit . He has done a great job since taking Nakatani's book.

Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
