Sleepless in Seattle

Postby Vince P » Sun Jul 26, 2009 4:17 am

Are there any kinda drugs one can take when they get up in the middle of the night and start looking at numbers and calculations?

I've been up since like 3:17am this morning handicapping like a loving fool. Can someone please shoot me now?

And what hotel am I supposed to pick Traveler up at again? Where in God’s Holy Name did I put his address?

This better pay off or I'm going to quit for good.

Drugs not needed. It'll all be worth it when your horses come in today.

I absolutely sucked and mean sucked big time. Now I know how the Washington Nashunuls feel.

The funny thing is that I honestly thought I had found some real solid plays in the 7 optional races. Included were decent prices, most in the 15 to 20-1 range where I "thought" my horses had about a 15% or so chance to win. Back to Handicapping 101 for me.

My wife (mostly playing names) was doing quite well for a while but she didn't make the top 9.

And Traveler was actually in first place for the opening six and half furlongs but wilted a bit in the late stages. I'm sure he finished ahead of any in our group, but he just fell out of the money.

I'lll get 'em next time even if I have to make a few phone calls.
