That was freaky alright. At first I didn't know what to think, but somehow it didn't look like he took a bad step because he seemed to gallop OK, but was obviously done at that point. Monterey Jazz also freaked and took off. Two horses, one with an apparently equipment issue and the other with just reacting perhaps out of fear. Horses get scared about a lot of things. They'll run first and ask questions later, which is obviously what Monterey Jazz did.

Kudos though to Global Hunter (Arg.) and Cory, who has always been a superb turf rider.
