For me it's just the opposite, that's when I really go for the double big score. Now, I know everyone has a different idea of a big score, but on Preakness day, I hit a $1 Super for 1,800 and a pick 4 somewhere for $925. I decided that out of that $2700. I was going to take $1000 and really go for something good and if I hit it, then I would be done, if I didn't then oh well still up nicely for the day. I think I lost roughly around $400 of that $1000. I remember I played a $200 straight exacta Rachel to Musket Man. I got my jollies going through the stretch but that darn derby winner foiled my plans. ;)

Oh that, yeah, I would probably wait until a big day. Travers Day, Pac Classic Day, or maybe even Breeders Cup. Hitting a $30 exacta isn't as much fun as it use to be.
