Is there any truth to this??? I have a few posts on various sites about an ankle injury that would put her out 4-6 months. Has anybody heard anything "official" about this??? Hope it isn't true, cuz if she is injured, she is done, don't think they would risk bringing her back post injury.....

I don't think so.. It's probably just an outgrowth of the observation that a few people made about Smith looking down at her leg.. My feeling is that if Mike perceived anything wrong at all, he wouldn't have paraded her after the win.. and probably would have dismounted.
In addition, there were reporters at the barn the following day.. The Racing Form article says the crew was glowing.. If there were an injury, you can be sure it would have shown up by the next day... and there would have been no glow.. Sheriffs said on Sunday.. "This is the enjoyment phase." No way does he make that comment if something is wrong..
thought i read that she walked the shedrow for an hour yesterday, today is a different day but if they had suspected something it's doubtful she would have been hand walked without a vet check. will wait and see, i've read these rumors about her before, and will keep fingers crossed that she's okay.
well, she doesn't look injured in anyway from the photos taken of her today. they are posted over on another forum http://thoroughbredchampions.com/forum/ ... =35061.735 - page 49 and 50 to be exact.
also, if you haven't seen enough photos from saturday these are taken and posted by a friend of mine. he openly shares all his photos http://www.flickr.com/photos/12854925@N ... 3497566105 there are also ones in the barn from rickr if you look in john's gallery. rose if you're reading he'll be there this weekend so you'll have more pictures of your girl.
Zen and RA race was the main reason she Zen came back, so if no rematch is in sight , just retire in 1 sound piece, just too darn risky racing for a champion Zen is , hate for the outrage if something were to happen, she's not a good but a special 1, would love to see her bloodlines passed through generations in the future.

They won't retire her.. They will race through the year, unless something unfortunate occurs. Zenyatta loves to race.. I've never seen an athlete as boldly confident as her, except for Usain Bolt.. who also knows he will win.
The Moss's are happy.. and the fans are happy watching her..
If they were to retire her.. one thing WILL OCCUR. The Rachel partisans will soon be concocting stories that Zenyatta was retiring because she was afraid to face Rachel Alexandra. Believe it! They'll ignore recent events and suggest that the master plan was always to meet at the BC Classic and that Zenyatta backed out.
All reports seem to be that Queen Z is happy, healthy, and ready to romp at Oaklawn Park next month, no matter what competition shows up.
Here's John S.'s latest video, featuring Life is Sweet napping and grazing, and Zenyatta grazing and hiding under a tree.
John is apparently experimenting with special effects; the slow motion zoom of Zenyatta's face and forelock near the end is quite nice.

Watching that clip shows how normal she is away from the track.. and how the dancing is an interaction with others.. It seems that's how she communicates to the people that she is aware they are watching and appreciating her..
I'm guessing she doesn't do that much - if at all - when it's not race day and she is just hanging out at the barn. I'd be interested to know if she exhibits that behavior when she goes to the track for her gallops and workouts..
a rematch? darn i missed the first one.
do wonder how many future little zens will make it to the track?
how many does a good broodmare produce?
is the breeding shed without risk?
wikipedia here i come.
