I'm just holding my breath and praying that Jackson doesn't run scared again and cancel.
Rachel hadn't run for 6 months and Zenyatta hadn't run for 4 months.
Yet Zenyatta won first time out giving up HUGE weight and with a terrible trip and against 8 other horses. Rachel runs at nearly the same weight as her opponents and there are only 4 of them and a hand-picked very soft group(Per Jackson's thoughts I'm sure) ... and loses.
Enough of the excuses from Jackson. Either run against Zenyatta or concede she's better and do what you want to do.
I'm sick of the shell game by Jackson ... Enough is enough. Either man up and run your horse on April 9th against Zenyatta or man up and state Zenyatta is better and do what you want.
Zenyatta faced a much tougher setup yesterday in my opinion. Unheard of weight differential to EVERY horse in the field and a very tough trip and still wins in a hand ride.
Rachel just dropped the ball. I'm sure she's a fantastic horse and in all honesty showed me a lot of heart by hanging in there and fighting hard until the end when she has HISTORICALLY had SO much trouble once she passes a mile(If she's being challenged). She held up REALLY well at the end of this race. I was impressed with that. I didn't expect her to hang in that tough past a mile.
Keep in mind that she typically is up 10 lengths or more once she crosses a mile ... So when on cruise control ... Of course there's no issue. But when cahllenged over a mile ... Other horses tend to be gaining on her. She hung in REALLY well when challenged nose to nose past a mile. I was impressed by that.
NO excuses. She ran a VERY good race against a horse who is obviously better than we all thought in Zardana.
I DON'T buy that Rachel wasn't fit or ready. She just got beaten ... Flat Out. She'd had 7 published workouts leading up to the race. Zardana was just a BETTER horse who ran a BETTER race on March 13th, 2010. Plain and simple.
Excuses, excuses, excuses ... Enough of them ... Sometimes even the great ones lose every once in a while.
Plain and simple ... Rachel lost a race ... Oh well ... It happens.
Time for Jackson to put up or shut up ... Enough of the excuses ... He's got a great horse ...
No excuses ... She was as fit and ready as Zenyatta was ... She just lost ... Oh well ...
If this cat busts out the excuses and runs away again ... That pretty much tells me without a shadow of a doubt ... He concedes to Zenyatta as being the better horse.
I personally believe she is of course ... But I want to see it proven on the track ...
Jackson needs to be man enough to allow us to have it proven one way are the other ...
There's NO chance that Jerry passes the Apple Blossom by ... Can the same be said about Jackson?
Enough of the excuses ... Just don't back out ... Your horse was as fit as Zenyatta ... And she won with a very difficult trip, against a much bigger field and with an incredible weight concession... Your horse just lost ... It happens ...
NO excuses ... Zardana ran a GREAT race ... register it ... Move on ... and run a great one yourself on April 9th and let the chips fall where they may.
