Check out the consensus in the DRF for tomorrow's co-feature at the Great Race Place.
Is this a travestation of justice or what?
Are the DRF handicappers all on drugs? Nobody lists American Lion in their top 3. That's insane. Did they not see his name in the overnights?
American Lion is improving with each and every start and his last race wasn't that bad at all - I can't believe I'm the only person in the world who sees that. He attended a sharp pace in the Lewis, and was the only horse on the pace to hang in there, finishing a good 3rd and improving once again in his brief career. By Tiznow, outta a Storm Cat mare, this dude is bred for exactly 1.0625 miles in mid-March, 1.125 miles in April and 1.25 miles in May. This is the one folks.
Matter of fact, here is my guarantee:
Plunge away on American Lion tomorrow (he may be a ridiculous 7/2 or 4-1). If he loses, post in here how much you wagered, where you wagered, and who was with you when you wagered and I will triple reimburse you and send you to Lake Tahoe if you don't cash. You have this in legal writing.
Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

I wish there was some kind of forum archive from the beginning of the dmff.. I would love to check back and see if you were this enthused about the great Giacomo.
Best of luck tomorrow, sir.
I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany...
That's the way he bet!
I like him too. I was at SA for his last start and he's a really big, impressive looking colt. Has a nice long stride that suggests that he should get a distance of ground just fine. You certainly can't say he was better than Caracortado last out, but he did run decently in outdueling Tiz Chrome and galloped out well after the race. Expecting a move forward but Caracortado still the one to beat.
In my BRIS pps in the comment line it says American Lion ( #3 ) " Bobbled start, lost 2nd. " He did more than that, he went to his knees. And Dave In Dixie ( #1 ) did not " Break In ", he broke in the air & was climbing right after the start.
I wonder what race they were watching ?

Its called "Boosting the Odds". When most public cappers omit a logical horse, thats usually what they're up to, as bettors have proven that they follow the first few ticks of the tote-board.
Therefore if American Lion doesnt open up with low odds, then hopefully by not mentioning him & his trouble last race they hope to get better odds.
I agree with Misternobody's take.. I like the colt as well...
But today, blinkers are on and he has a fast colt breaking just outside him.. Sydney's Candy will probably be crossing in front of him in the first quarter..which makes his task that much harder.. He'll need to settle, not get involved too soon with Sydney, then take him on and best him at some point - while still holding Caracortado safe... Caracortado will again be perfectly placed. He rates as well as any horse I've ever seen..
I'd like his chances of turning the tables on Caracortado alot more if he didn't have to take on Sydney first..
hmmmmm, awwwwwhitie then...... how bout this, if he loses you keep the trip to tahoe but triple the reimbursement and send it to the little goslings walkathon/fundraiser. if he wins i'll donate any winnings to the little goslings walkathon/fundraiser. deal?
