Looked great winning the San Carlos today. He's back and should be a force through the summer. Great job by the connections for getting him ready to fire off a 14 month layoff. Granted, he got away with a soft first quarter, but I'm not sure it would have mattered.

Second the notion of fantastic job by connections. Let's hope comes out of thye race in great shape. Definitely capable of championship type season by a sprinter if remains healthy. Anybody know if they're thinking of Dubai. Gosh, I hope they aren't.
I agree that he is a sprinter. It's a shame when good connections forget that all horses have limitations. When a horse can outbreak and outsprint his competition at the world class level going 6 furlongs, you can bet your last dollar that 9 furlongs is not his best trip. But he relaxes very well, and will always give his best - no matter where they spot him..
There are plenty of opportunities for a sprinter/miler. If he stay's sound, he could sprint in the Breeders Cup for Championship honors or the BC Mile would also be within his reach.. But if they start running him in spots meant for classic horses, as they did a couple of times in the past, he will falter... and he will be diminished. When he ran against Colonel John two years ago at a distance that wasn't his best, he gave everything to win that race, drifting and straining to stay in front.. but he couldn't hold.. They should have known to rest and cut back with him.. But they went in the Derby against Big Brown. They're lucky they got him back in one piece..
Hopefully, they have learned a lesson..
was stuck inside all weekend and was forced (LOL) to watch a ton of races (gambled on em too) - aqueduct, gulfstream, fairground, oaklawn, golden gate, satan anita, you name it, saw it - any ways out of all them stinkin races Bob Black Jack's comeback was the bestest of all - then in the nitecap Joy Scott goes to work on Ol'Dogtown and gets his asss s across the finish line, then in repayment he dumps her and thought they were gonna make her walk all the way back (she looked totally pissed) but then the ambulance came and picked her up and LIttle Joe gave her a hug at the paddock and she started smiling again and gave a nice interview to Millie about how her son was at college and she has plenty of time on her hands now and NO she is not retiring, and just wanted to say wish her all the best - and Bob Black Jack too!! The end whewww
