So Nak is the leading jockey there (24%) with fewer rides than #2 Terry Thompson, glad he's found some inspiration.
Don't know much about Abel Castellano, Jr. but he's hitting at 25% and had 4 winners today. Wake-up call for me.
Lukas is 2nd trainer behind Asmussen - seems like a bit of resurgence.
Did Steve Knapp hit the P6 today? Tyler's 55-1 shot didn't get past someone. BTW, Tyler had 3 wins today, good on him.
Winter Olympics are mostly boring.
Abel Castalano is a young jockey that usually rides the Mid-Atlantic circuit at tracks like Delaware, Pimlico-Laurel, Philly Park, Monmouth & Penn Natl. I've heard rumor that he is the younger brother of NY & Gulfstream regular jockey Javier Castalano who rode Ghostzapper among other notables, however I'm not totally sure about this. My guess is trainer Tim Ritchey of Afleet Alex fame has something to do with him riding @ Oaklawn this meet as Abel usually rode first call for Ritchey @ Delaware last year.
I didnt know that Abel was 2nd leading jock @ Oaklawn & I'm glad that you posted this stat here on the board. This will make me pay more attention to his mounts. I also recall last week Abel bringing in a $60-1 longshot to Win @ Oaklawn but Ritchey was not the trainer.
Last Race Sunday Oct-14th, 2010, #9-Star Vector paid $122.00 to Win, Scott Mullins Trainer, Abel Castalano, Jockey.
You've heard rumor? Wouldn't something like this be easy enough to verify? Too bad there not something around that we could use to look this up. Like some electronic encyclopedia perhaps.
BTW - He is Javier's younger brother.

Abel is Javy's younger brother, but Im pretty sure he is 28(not so young). I have a couple of platers, and he has ridden for me a couple of times. He is a good rider, who takes first call for Ritchey, and Scott Lake in maryland. He is a disciple of Ramon(who in the mid atlantic isn't?),and is best rating horse in sprint races.Sometimes, infuriating his owners, but that his best attrbute...
Take my advise and do what you please
