Also NTamm ... What did you think about the strength of that Kentucky Oaks field ... You DO agree it was an incredibly weak field do you not?
The last place finisher of the 2008 Apple Blossom came back to run last in the Louisville BC Handicap.
The Oaks field lost a great deal of its luster when Stardom Bound was declared a week before and when Justwhistledixie got scratched on the morning of the race. All things considered, it was no weaker a race than the Vanity, a race that produced an overnight stakes winner and an allowance winner other than the winner herself. At least one of the Oaks also-rans won a Grade I in her next start.
