They could play a recording of the crowd at Santa Anita after Zenyatta won the Classic ... That's the loudest crowd I've ever heard.
That would be a test for him!!
Although he was driving me nuts and I was begging them to scratch him and get him out of the gate because I feared he was gonna throw Zenyatta off of his gate ... I actually feel sorry for Quality Road now and find myself liking him and wanting to cheer for and follow him now.
If Zenyatta would have lost ... I'd have hated him ... But being as she won ... I have a soft spot for him now!
And for the record ... Even though I had him in 2nd and 3rd on my trifecta ... I was yelling for them to scratch him!!
Even though he'd have helped my payout.
The main thing was for Zenyatta to win and I felt he was risking that.
But bottom line ... She won ... And I ended up feeling sorry for him.
I'll pull for him from here on out. Best wishes for his success.
He's a beautiful horse and obviously has a ton of talent.
I'd love him to be on his gain and see Rachel go against him next year ... But I know it would NEVER happen.
No WAY Jackson would take on Quality Road or Summer Bird next year.
He'd NEVER take that chance. Won't happen.
And that's unfortunate.
