Enjoyed Bobby's brashness during interviews as he was always more interested in his horses condition than granting media access. Would never
allow an owner to dictate where his horse would run. Once kicked Kent Desormeaux off his horses for at least 6 months for a bad ride, forcing
Kent to take his business to the East Coast. Once called Gary Stevens and Kent D. idiots for claiming foul on each other as part of a Frankel
trained entry. Bobby RIP - you are the greatest!!!!!!

Bobby sure had a way with the fillies & mares. Has there been any other trainer in history who's had a longer list of such good ones?

I bet on a horse at ten-to-one. It didn't come in until half-past five.
My horse was so late getting home, he tiptoed into the stable.

Shug is pretty good with fillies, but I doubt the number in the pool compares.
Sarcasm:the ability to insult idiots without them realizing it
I believe they became a lot closer in recent years, even though living 3,000+ miles apart kept them from being together as much as they would like (though she was at his side when he passed away from what I read).
Interesting the list posted upthread left out what actually was his first major win: The 1970 Suburban with Barometer, a horse he claimed for $15,000. While it is now a Grade 2, the Suburban was a Grade 1 for much of the time dating back to when stakes were first Graded in 1973.
He certainally will be missed.
