Thank you, Ed Burgart

I only caught the Juvenile Champion Stakes and then the next race, but just heard that Ed called nine races at Hollywood Park, and is now at Los Alamitos calling the Quarters. He's having a very long day and deserves huge kudos for stepping up while Vic is recovering. As we all know, Ed is a tremendous guy, and his goodwill is greatly appreciated. And as always, he's been superb in the announcer's booth.

Yes..great job, as always, by Ed.

And..uh..interesting call of the finale by George Ortuzar..if nothing else it goes to show you how hard it is to announce a horse race..especially one with 12 horses..

Definitely a big thank you to Ed for the last minute substitution.

Ed did a great job today. Thank you Ed.

It just goes to show what a pro he is. A last minute sub, not much time to study, and he still gets the names right. Well done!

Ed was superb on short notice, but was the gentleman that called the last race throwing up as he was trying to call the names? Not trying to be too mean, 'cause I know it's the hardest job in the world(made to look easy by guys like Vic, Ed, Trevor, etc.).
