I read somewhere that a vet is on the plane with the horses when flying and if a horse gets out of control on a plane they will euthanize the horse as to not risk the safety of the flight. I wonder how bad it has to get? Probably a good thing they didn't force him on only to go nuts when in the air.
Actually the flight crew which is not only the pilots but other people who's only job is to travel with horses have access to very strong tranqulizers to give any horse or animal that is going to cause a major disruption. They do not put them to sleep , they just tranq them so hard that they wont budge for the rest of the flight.
