9, 3 year olds have won the bc classic, only two of those winners ran in the kentucky derby.
less than 20% of the horses were 3 yr olds who have ran in the bc classic. so 3 year olds have done amazingly well in this race.
I can tell you one thing: Unless Verrazano comes back and stays healthy, ain't no loving three year gonna win it this year.
Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

of the nine 3 year olds that won the bc classic only two of them ran in the kentucky derby, so obviously they developed later in the year. but that is a pretty amazing stat imo. 1/3rd of the bc classics were won by 3 year olds but less than 20% of the horses that ran in the race were 3 year olds.
I'm with Vince
Am thinking Verrazano is the only 3 year old that could do damage later in the year. His one loss can be easily forgiven, being into the teeth of that blistering Derby pace in the slop. He showed incredible ability before then.
Not saying that this crop is strong, but if there is one 3 yo to emerge in the second half, I think it's Verrazano.
Take my advise and do what you please
Oxbow was good and was always Lukas' #1 horse this year. no matter that Itsmyluckyday beat him once.
Ain't gonna' happen with this lackluster bunch.
