Southern California horse racing will get some good news Monday at a time of gloom over the upcoming closure of Hollywood Park. The Breeders' Cup will announce it will return to Santa Anita for an unprecedented 65th straight year through 2077.

Friday attendance was 37651, and Saturday attendance was 55123. Total of 92774; who knows where the 96496 figure came from.

Maybe they inadvertently included the 3,722 horse racing fans that attended Santa Anita on Sunday?
Me too! However the Breeder's Cup Ltd would need to buy the track and the Bay Meadows Scam--I mean Land--Company would need to be willing to sell it.
