Not that I've heard about. Her Galileo colt didn't do all that well going thru' the sales ring either. Surprising, and disappointing.

I had a pretty good feeling you were referring to the great Makybe Diva. I remember the race announcer's words from first seeing the race in 2005, so I knew what to expect at the finish: "the champion becomes a legend." I got goose bumps watching her open up in the stretch.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Me too, on the goose bumps. Every time I watch a replay, same thing, goosebumps and the hairs on my arms stand up.

What a super race. Any one of those in the field could have come & gotten him at any time, a few tried, but he was too good for them all. Amazing. The video clip is great quality, juts like watching it on TV, maybe better.

Did I use enough superlatives?

Thank you very much, CCD.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I'm rushing to work now and will have to view it later. But I know it's here.

HI PS, RS, want some good racing news for a change? You won't have to wait very long to check out So You Think's next effort -- he'll be entered in the Mackinnon Stakes at Flemington this coming Friday night (US time).

One week between races? Holy cannoli, them AUS horses are tough.

So You Think is a lot of horse. He took charge from the start and never relinquished it. Then when they came to challenge, he repelled everybody and scooted away, no problem.

If So You Think is running again next week, I'm not too surprised. Weren't we talking about this last year during the Melbourne Cup? Didn't a few of the Aussie horses race within only several days or a few weeks or thereabouts? Don't remember which horses, but we talked about this. I'm sure they're trained for it, like a lot of our American horses from the old days were.
