everyone keeps talking about the best preps leading into the derby. on pure time the best two turn prep by far was itsmyluckyday not in the fla derby where he was coming off a 9 week layoff but in his 1st race of the year in the gp derby by brisnets speed ratings that race was 5 lengths faster than any other horse has ever ran going two turns.if he can transfer that race to churchill downs he cant be beat.
the bris numbers are not like worthless beyer numbers, they are actual statistical facts that refect how fast the horse ran, not as good as old fashion speed ratings in the form but close.
the best bris speed ratings of all the two turn races by these derby horses are
normandy invasion 104
* the wild card is, lines of battle because he doesnt have a number to compare. just by my eyes i would say his uae derby would be a 105
