I was thinking about this after seeing Dreaming of Julia run 2 seconds faster than the boys on Saturday. In the past, why wouldn't they take a shot with her in the Derby instead of the Oaks? Now, there's absolutely no chance of that happening.
The new points system effectively means that we'll never see any more fillies in the Derby.
No it not, to many fillies have broken down running against the colts,
I always have been against this,
The girls push themselves faster to keep up with the boys,
I'd much rather have the points system without a filly that doesn't guarantee pigs like He's Had Enough that had decent juvenile form but mediocre 3 year old form than the former system. If a filly is good enough to win the Derby, she'll have to place against the boys prior and that is a great thing.
Take my advise and do what you please
Funny how the Euros don't hesitate to run fillies/mares against the boys.

boy i wish i owned a pig worth millions of dollars like hes had enough
I think he is going down in value every time he races. They should either retire him or put him into a realalistic spot. (Claiming Races)
He has never ran a beyer higher than an 82 I believe. I think we all realize now that last years Breeders Cup juvenille race was a terrible field. Probably the worst breeders cup race of all time in which the winner came to an absolute walk at the top of the stretch and still found a way to win. Hasnt every horse that has come out of that race regressed? Shanghai Bobby for one doesnt have a future going past 1 mile.
