Does anyone know what TV stations will carry these wonderful, exciting, full-field races?
How does the Place/Show wagering work? Not that I ever bet to Place or Show, but that always confuses me with these foreign things. Does Place really mean Show and vice-versa?
Does anyone know if TwinSpires will be carrying the Arabian Gold Cup for wagering purposes? It's the first race Saturday morning.
Does anyone know what wagering platform you can use, i.e. TwinSpires, XpressBet, etc?
Geez, here in Kauai, I will have to get up at 2:17am to wager on the first World Cup Race.
What time will you be getting up?
Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

I dont get why everyone is always getting so exited about these Dubai Races. Sure there fun to watch I guess and see really good horses but how do you handicapp it? All the foreign horses just says where they finished and at what odds they were. No running lines, most without comments.
...and the race times darn sure don't mean anything.
learning to handicap foreign races is the best way to improve your game IMO, it makes you less reliant on speed figures which American handicappers are too reliant on. Websites I suggest to start reading include nickmordin.com (he has a lot of ratings up for Dubai preps), racingpost.com & Racing and Sports (Aussie site)
I see them as racing for the purists: racing good horses for the sake of competing on a world-class stage. It's all about the horses themselves.

Have a question on the payouts for Dubai. Specifically was 5 Dubai. See the 7 paid 2.10 to place. Believe place means the same as show, with the top 3 getting paid on the place price. The 7 horse who won had 16000 out of a 61000 pool. When you factor in the horses who also hit the board, how does the place price come out to 2.10 for the 7 horse. When you substract a takeout and devide the remaining pool into 1/3's I dont see where 2.10 comes from.
