That is a sharp post Aaron. Santa Anita has the San Fernando, San Felipe ect. When they renamed those Oak Tree stakes they should have had the Upland Stakes for 3year old domesticated horses. Next time I see Jimmy the Hat or Gene Simmons I will bring it up. Maybe Lestet can present the trophy and Grey Goose in the winner circle!
I would probably run my derby contender in the San Luis Ray at Sunray Park. Perfect prep.

If it is bet, they will take it.

claimbox is what mental? not sure if that's a compliment or a derogatory statement, but that sentence would make you fail an english test in 2nd grade.
Another option is the Super Derby at Krypton Downs..
I did make a mistake, I have to go alone with you on this one.
Maybe the winner of the Wood at Woodbine will come back in the fall for the Good Wood at Woodbine..
Take my advise and do what you please
So in closing this brilliant thread,
the possible Prep races for a Derby conterder would be either
The Wood at Woodbine,
The San Luis Ray at Sanray Downs,
The Blue Grass at Boise State Downs,
The Super Derby at Krypton Downs (My favorite)
or the newly named Upland Derby..
and if things worked out well, afterwards he could go back to Woodbine for the Good Wood...
got it Lester????
