Why go to Vegas if they run all the bets through mutuels?

I live in Toluca Lake North Hollywood side. I usually leave at 6 am.Southpoint is about 5.5 south of Mandalay Bay so I don't have to deal with the Vegas Strip traffic or 10 min lights.My trip usually runs between 3:20 and 3:45. Top speed 80 mph.

It takes me around 3 1/2 hours with one stop in Baker to buy coffee and see the sights,
