I'm counting on the Pro Ride to be his un-doing when I play against him in the Classic. He looks very tough, but I can't forget that they moved him away from Sadler because they didn't think he liked synthetics. He's turned into a very good horse so he might be able to run on anything, but you can't pick them all in the Classic.

I certainly hope that Summer Bird, an American, and Zenyatta, can really turn the trick in this thing, assuming the mare is in the Classic; and of course, I'd love to see Mine That Bird right with these two at the finish.

I do think with Sea The Stars retired, Rip Van Winkle may now be considered the best in the world, assuming his feet stay in good shape.

By the way, ESPN just interviewed Tim Ice and Summer Bird was right next to him. It was a great segment, not because of the interview, but for Summer Bird's very imposing appearance.

As we get closer to the Breeders' Cup, I hope one or both racing stations start providing telecasts of the workouts.
