Your 3 yr old colt

Postby Fredo » Wed Mar 06, 2013 10:19 am

So this question is for the mooks and resident KIA,s in forum. You are the sole owner of a 3 yr old who is nominated for the TC races. He daylights in a msw race. Now your colt is creating a buzz. Your un named trainer is a low % winner.Would you seek out a trainer who is more experienced with Derby preps? If so who would it be ?

Didn't Chuck Woolery win the Derby with Mind That Bird? If I'm not mistaken, he threw that horse in a Uhaul and shlepped him in from El Paso three hours before post time.

I'd seek partners after marking the price up significantly(like LRF).

Same here. Didn't War Emblem go for 1 miilion plus and the original owner kept a small percentage ? I would want to keep a small percentage too.

Great memory Sun Devil. I also heard he only stopped at casinos for pee breaks.

Business people would sell. Rich people who want attention and fame would keep the horse. I am a business persona and have always said I would sell if given an opportunity like that.

Sell and hope lightning strikes twice!!! Make sure paperwork is in place as far as future bonus money is concerned to not
have a disagreement end up in court like what happened between Springer and Baffert.
