Seems for now it won't be split, anyone know under the new derby point system how that would work out?
Both winners each get 50? 2nd - 20 each?

Re: Rebel StakesIt would be a roach in the oatmeal if, say, the first leg was run and the top 5 horses all ran 1:42's and the second leg was won in 1:45, with that clod getting 50 points. Wouldn't prove much. I can't find anything about what they would do in the case of a split. At least they don't have the Oceanside to deal with.
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
Re: Rebel Stakesthey wont split a race like the rebel.
Re: Rebel Stakes
As long as the purse is the same for both Divisions, they both get the same point distribution. Otherwise, points would be halved.
Re: Rebel StakesPletcher has 3 probables and Baffert 2 in the race.
Re: Rebel Stakes
Some track should just make a stakes race with a $3,000,000 purse for 3 year olds, with only Baffert and Pletcher runners allowed. This is the only way they will run their best horses against one other before The Derby. I think this would eventually known as the Spring Derby.
