Apprentice jockey Keiber Coa, 20, was taken to Jamaica Hospital complaining of knee pain after being catapulted to the track in yesterday’s fifth race at Aqueduct when his mount Franky Nails stumbled after being jostled in tight quarters just as he made the lead turning into the backside.

After running around the track loose, Franky Nails, a 4-year-old gelding making his ninth start, attempted to jump the outer rail, impaled his left hind leg, and had to be euthanized after being vanned off the track.

Ugh, I didn't know that about the horse. Sh*t. The horse I saw ran with the pack and 'finished' the race. Did this happen after that?
"And Afleet Alex just ran right by Giacomo like he was standing still!"
