The happy hypocrite

Yes ,Ive posted several times on the Rainbow -6 wager, not sure if I was pro or against. But now,I can say with 100% certainity.I LOVE THIS WAGER!!!!!!!!!

(Redboard alert) After playing the rainbow only 3 or 4 times in the past.I hit the six for 18,000(roughly 13k after my uncle took his cut)Sunday!
I am not a very big player, with my limit per day at around $500.I sometimes play the pick 6 at Sana Anita, but never play a ticket for more than $300.Yesterday at Gulf,my ticket had plenty of coverage, and it only cost me $58 dollars. I did have some inside info on Mareina's 1ster(which is one of main reasons i played the ticket),which helped greatly. My ticket went: 9 x 4 x 2 x 4 x 1 x 2.My single was Saez in the feature at 5/2.
I have no delusions Im gonna hit the 2 million jackpot, but the daily payout for the amount of coverage you can get is definitely worth the risk.Im not rich, but ing $60 on a ticket isnt much to me.However, the same ticket on a $2 pick 6 would be around $1,200,something that def is out of my ballpark.
If you ve played this game and handicapped as long as i have, the coverage you can get for cheap is really enticing in the rainbow.I think the dime coverage in the 6 is much more gettable than a pick 4 at a dollar,or even 50 cents. It may be another 20 years before I hit one,but I am know in love with this bet.

Good for you hitting a nice payoff. But I am still not on board promoting this bet for the average player because you had inside information on one of three first-timers in a field of ten. Still, good for you but those of us on the outside are better off taking a pass.

Congratulations on the nice hit.

I think the bet shows how fractional betting appeals to the masses. I certainly like it. However, it is unfortunate that the betting is tied to such an unfair bet. Your post made me think as to how I would change the bet to make it more fair for the mainstream bettor.
