Remember Traveler?

What a weekend he had!

Yesterday he qualified for the SECOND time in The 2013 Orleans World Series - so he now has two $1,000 spots for Feb 20-23. Also yesterday, he won two mini qualifiers that gave him entry fees for more qualifiers.

But today was even better. Way better.

He calls me up about an hour ago and says he needs Formative to romp in the 8th race at Goldstream and he'd nail TWO other qualifiers - a $10,000 buy in for the BC Betting Challenge and also first place in the Players Challenge in South Dakota as both qualifiers used Goldstream's 8th race as their finale.

So he gives me the live race call over the phone while I'm at In 'N Out (seriously). Formative goes straight to the front and widens from there at a healthy 11-1. Traveler goes nuts - actually he remained pretty calm as is his custom. This allowed Traveler to earn a $10,000 spot into the BCBC and a spot in the Players Challenge. Both wins fund him live bankrolls of $7,500 and $1,500 ON ADDITION to the entry fees for both. Plus he keeps any winnings from either bankroll.

Unbelievable roll he's on.

So now we have TT and Traveler - two degenerates I've known for years and two of the very best horse gamblers I've ever met.

It's great to hear the good news about Traveler's success. One thing it proves is that when things go right, you can do so much more with a small investment in racing, as opposed to the coin flip of sports betting, or even the "investment" world of Wall Street.....
