That is an apples and oranges argument.Ive seen 1st hand how former big time horse players are now big time poker players.And the arguments are all the same:acccusations of rampant cheating,lack of enough oversight to give bettors confidence that the game is on the up and up etc..Go into any local otb in the entire country.I guarantee youll find that the average age is about 64.Racing has many,many appearance problems,and exchange wagering isnt gonna lay to rest any of them.

I know many people who left the game because they are afraid of tote manipulation and changing odds. Would exchange wagering fix that? You bet it would. No longer would it be: I bet the horse at 3-1 and it was 8-5 when it turned into the stretch. Fixing that problem alone would be far more beneficial than any bad feelings caused with the conspiracy theory bettors. Bettors can always come up with a reason why they lost a bet.
