I don't think she didn't do anything wrong. JOhnny V aboard. Nothing wrong with Johnny since he's my fav but I think Rosie fits the horse quite well. At least she still has Shanghai Bobby

Shanghai Bobby is on a lot of people's top ten list for the Derby. Pletcher has looooooots of horses....

I think it was the owners idea to go with Johnny. I don't think Pletcher isn't that type of trainer that would replace someone if they did something wrong and the horse in the BC didn't belong in that race and I think it was owners idea to put that one in. They're greedy. Plus, Ro didn't do nothing wrong with the horse and KK is just a sprinter and they've should've stuck to their guns and gone to that Juv.Sprint where IMO would've been a 3 horse photo finish and KK would've won.

Mayor Presents Jockey Rosie Napravnik With "Key to the City"

Mayor Landrieu Presents Jockey Rosie Napravnik With "Key to the City"

New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu presented jockey Rosie Napravnik with a “Key to the City” in a ceremony held late Wednesday afternoon in the Mayor’s office at City Hall. Mayor Landrieu, on behalf of the city, also presented Napravnik with a proclamation officially recognizing her achievements, including two Fair Grounds leading rider titles (2010-11 and 2011-12), wins in last year’s $1 million Kentucky Oaks (aboard Believe You Can) and $2 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (Shanghai Bobby), and a 2012 season in which she set the record for earnings ($12,451,713) by a female jockey.

Napravnik is originally a native of New Jersey but has called New Orleans “the closest thing” she has to a home since purchasing a house with husband Joe Sharp, also pictured, in Mid-City in 2011. She currently leads the Fair Grounds jockey standings with 46 wins entering Thursday’s races.

When Mayor Landrieu joked to Napravnik that he had lost a few races in his time, Napravnik cracked, “I hope your win percentage is better than mine,” before explaining to the Mayor that even the greatest jockeys don’t win the majority of their starts.

Johnny V would ride Shanghai Bobby,BUT HE IS NOT ON PLETCHERS DERBY LIST. They think he is a glorified sprinter, nothing more.Everyone will be shocked if he stretches out,and if so,Johnny will be on him right quickly.

I'm one who believes he won't make a mile and a quarter. However, I do believe they will let Rosie take him all the way. Good PR, getting lots of press.
This weekend won't tell us much, he's already done a mile and a sixteenth.

Only way he will get the mount is if Rosie messes up but Rosie hasn't messed up yet.

He bought him for his breeding potential due to his early speed.I know most of Pletchers people, and this horse was not highly thought of all season(when was the last time Pletcher had a great 3 yr old that johnny v or Javy didint ride?).They may be proven wrong, that can happen in this game. And Rosies"s impatient ride in the BC JUvenile rushing into a horrific pace was either a horrible ride,or showed Bobbys lack of rating ability.Either way, doesn't bode well for his future.

Am sure Rosie probably learned not to move too soon again after that. Good thing Bobby knows where that wire was that day as He's Had Enough really looked tough as nails that day too. Let's see how Bobby fairs against this field he's up against. I actually think this field is tougher than the BC Juvenile.
