Texas Bling today in Smarty Jones

This horse caught my eye in the Springboard. I don't know what he was beating in the race, but he was extremely game and has a solid durable look about him. Being a Texas bred, he is bound to be overlooked on the Derby trail. It would be ironic if he turned out any good, as I seem to remember his old man Too Much Bling was purchased off a big race by one of Baffert's clients and was a total flop. Will be looking to see how he fairs today.

2nd, paid $15 and $6, great exacta under the Lukas horse.
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.

Always in a Tiz looked best to me as the mile distance looked far too short for him. Blew by the winner and second horse
if you followed the gallop out. Being by Tiznow he should improve as the distances get longer.

Glad they payoff at the finish line and not the gallop out. Heard the winner had a tough trip as well.

No money on the race, but Tiz looked the best to me too, the winner #9 was wide pretty much the whole way, including at least 5 wide going into the first turn

After watching the replay , I remain hopeful for the Blingster, as the jock was on him for the first time and may have moved to soon. He also spotted the winner and third horse 4lbs.Of course those are probably not your A-listers on the Derby trail
