SACRAMENTO, Jan 10 (Reuters) - California's budget deficit is gone after years of financial troubles, Governor Jerry Brown said on Thursday, proposing a plan that raises spending on education and healthcare, boosting total expenditures by 5 percent.

Brown wants to make it look like raising taxes is the answer so that MORE taxes can be raised before reality sets in.

Totally agree.

Btw, It's no big deal but I can't tell you how much that saying bothers me and I know everyone uses it.

Just makes me very sad that people make fun of it but I'm sure that wasn't your intent.

Half the people in here probably aren't even old enough to know what the heck I'm talking about.

Andy C is right, I believe the man is an accountant?
Most people are not, nor do they understand DEBT.

What do we do about the HUGE DEBT we owe.

If I have $5K a month coming in and I balance expenses I pay out at $5K, I have balanced my check book.....problem is: what if I owe $50K in credit card debt?

How the hell do I pay off that????

Think the 16+ trillion our federal goverment has stacked up in DEBT.
The Congress, Senate and White House can balance a budget....but again, how the hell do they pay off the DEBT?????????
