Jockey Joe Rocco Jr. won his 1,000th race Jan. 24 when he took the ninth at Gulfstream Park for trainer Jane Cibelli aboard EBG Racing Stable's Rustler Hustler.

Joe Rocco JR has been riding for over 10 years,not a kid.His father was a mainstay in mid atlantic for 30 years. And yes,Delaware has been a hot bed for up and comers over the last decade.The ones to watch now are Rocco jr,Ricardo Santana,Alex Cintron,Yomar Ortiz. All will be somewhere better within 5 years.
