Since the Santa Anita Handicap is now for 4-year-olds and up, guess it won't be happening again. Anyone know when the change was made?

THANKS!! hadn't thought of that at all- so it's not a Wiki error of "fact" necessarily, but more of an "omission" [that the rules changed] ...

edit: just another thought, Wiki was probably writing "as of 2007..." to mean "WHEN THIS ARTICLE WAS WRITTEN" but that's incorrect also, because another 3 y/o CAN'T win it.. dooh lol

The first race was held in 1935, just months after the track opened in late 1934, and was for three-year-olds and up until 1969.
