There is a reason he calls at Golden Gate and hasn’t got a job in big leagues. I used to despise Stauffer, but he has grown on me, I like the enthusiasm he brings to the calls, and most of all I like that I can understand his native English non-accent. Between the guy at Churchill, Wrona, and Trevor, I’ve grown tired of the of foreign race callers. For my money, Durkin, Kurt Becker, and Stauffer are the ones I like to hear when I hit a winner, even Collmus is ok at times, but it’s the same call, time after time, Lies is as boring as they come. Hell, I’d take Tony Calo over Wrona any day….Even Ed Burgart…..
Michael Wrona has had 2 stints at Hollywood Park - the first in 1990, the second in 1999 (he called the race where Laffit Pincay eclipsed Bill Shoemaker's mark for most career wins by a jockey). 1990 Hollywood Futurity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpTaYCrkS6Q

I still like Wrona the best and certainly no one of this forum will change my mind.
