What's the Difference....

Between a track listed as wet-fast and a track listed as sloppy? They ususally both look the same to me.

By the way, the 11 horse in the 3rd race looks like she's got the goods today. Any horse with the letter "V" in her name, along with the fact the trainer has two "V,s" in his name not to mention, the number 11, has a "V" makes the horse nearly unbeatable.

They're not dramatically different. Wet fast can never happen unless the track is sealed. A process called floating, which is kinda like squeegeeing the excess water off what is already a very tight packed down surface makes a very quick track that does have moisture in it. Sloppy is similar with two exceptions. There was so much rain before the floating there is still standing muddy/murky water above he sealed surface. It hasn't leaked into the seal yet ( that would be a muddy track ) but certainly isn't all gone. It can also get sloppy quickly of course if it rains intensely "during" the warmup and actual race.

IMO the track is sloppy/muddy.... it is nowhere close to being wet-fast.

Not watching. Have two High School basketball tournament games to referee at 2:30 and 4:00. Prepping for that. Remember, off tracks are just another opportunity for a good player to take advantage of a lesser prepared, less knowledgeable pari-mutuel opponent. Good luck.
