GP 10th, Miss Tapit

Postby Kermit » Sat Dec 22, 2012 8:43 pm

This was Miss Tapit's 3rd career race, I saw her first two, she had trouble lines but in her first one (MSW) she ran greenly,
second one (MCL) trouble loading, ran better, had some late trouble. I thought then that Orseno should put her back into a MSW next out.
But today she was in a MCl at GP, won with authority at 3-1 and got claimed by Mike Maker ($35K). I bet her pretty good, like stealing money.

She is by Tapit out of an El Prado mare, she is going to win some money AND for that price you get an interesting breeding line - that alone was worth the claiming price. Her works coming up to this race were perfect, capped by a 1 mile breeze @ 1:44. Sore horses don't workout at a mile. I think that was a great claim.

Not really red-boarding, it's just nice to follow a horse and be the trainer and casH when the time is right.

My stable mail says the mile breeze was 1:39 and change. Doesn't really matter now, but why the confusion?

If it's not really red-boarding. What really is it? :)

Observation. OK, I only had $2 to show. There.

I wasn't suggesting that everyone should have had it.

I have had the distinguished pleasure of staying a week at the "Monteleone Hotel" one of the finest establishments in the
French Quarters of New Orleans.

This thread changes as if we are posting on clouds. 8-)

Suffice it to say, I wouldn't presume to tout a 7/2 horse to this elite group, y'all would laugh me off the forum.
Horse to watch at least.
