Michael Wrona is heading to Argentina to call that nation’s biggest race, the Grade 1 Carlos Pellegrini, for HRTV on Saturday. Frank Mirahmadi, who announces at Oaklawn Park and also is the voice of the Northern California fairs, will substitute for the final three days of the meet.
I'll be there Saturday listening to Hardiman and Frank while gambling like a dam fool.
Anyone want to join me in the Top of the Stretch room? I'll be wearing a Los Angeles Rams jacket.
$1 hot dogs, beer and Lasix are on me with a dinner at In 'N Out afterwards.
Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

A one-turn, mile-and-a-half race with 23 runners including a three-horse entry and FIVE two-horse entries, not to mention no familiarity with the horses or silks. There aren't too many race callers in the world who could pull this off. Wrona one of a select band, I would suggest.

Sharp post. This is in Michael's wheelhouse. He'll do a great job!

And you can count on Wrona naming all 23 horses in the field in proper order crossing the finish line.
Carolyn Conley will be the TV hostess for HRTV over there.
Wrona is the star the show, my friend.
