Haven't seen his name in entry boxes...Did I miss his retirement or is he injured?

Solis is moving his tack to Woodbine because he read there are more winners there than anywhere else..

When I first started following the sport, I used to like to bet on the horses that Alex solis rode at his peak. Of course back in 02-03 was his peak. He still is one of my all time favorites. Sad to see where he's at as that spill at del mar took a lot out of him mentally. I think he deserves to be in the hall of fame since he definitely has held his own over the years in CA.

I wish solis would come back here. I don't think he's better off anywhere I think he's better here IMO. I haven't really seen solis name since he switched his tack to woodbine. I wonder if he'll ever win a derby but I think he deserves a shot IMO at a live horse.

One of the true injustices in the world of horse racing is that Alex ain't in the Hall of Fame by now.

Vic and I have voted for him every year to no avail.

I think racing writers are prejudiced.

Solis was one of the top riders in the country for a couple years only.Doesnt merit hall the same way Jose Santos didnt deserve HOF recognition.Their careers were similar.

Jose Santos was leading rider in money won for more than just a few years. I want to say he was for 4-5 years.

Santos got into the Hall of Fame in 2007 the year he was retired.

Solis was a big money rider from 1996-2004, 2006. Quite a long run. One of the nation's best for like 9-10 years.

Actually Santos should've been in the Hall of Fame along time ago than the year he got in. Even probably a year after he won the Derby with Funny Cide. Plus the past 7-8 months between like Oct. 2002 and May 2003 Santos took 2 of the big classics in America. The Classic with Volponi and Funny Cide in the Derby.

I know Santos is.I feel he didnt deserve to get in because he was only at the top for several years(with rumored substance problems accounting for the downfall). Solis was a very good rider, but he was never one of the 3 best jocks in any year he rode.
