The pools are good and everyone has a real good chance to win at that track. I think they produce more winners then any other track running in N America.
Agree. I have been at Golden Gate by the Bay almost nightly and have witnessed many, many more people clapping after Woodbine races verse other track simulcasts. For me, personally, I will be wagering 77% of my bankroll on Woodbine races from now on and the other 77% on minor tracks. Vince P

I should prolly just stick a loveing icepick in my eyeball but.. Lester, if they had 10 cent trifectas would there be even more winners? Would 5 cent trifectas have even MORE winners? Would 2 cent trifectas have even MORE winners?
Memo to Joel...Please read the memo I sent to Andy C... Don't do this to yourself....

Serious players won't put serious $$ into those pools.[/quote]
Beg to differ there....The rainbow pick-6 at Gulf has become hugely popular with serious players because it is incredibly difficult to be the sole winner. This bet encourages long shot play. How many times have we seen big carry-overs in So Cal,only to have lame brain hit a chalky pick6 that pays 1,300? To be the only winner in the rainbow, you must have at least 2 bombs.Ive hit it a bunch of times where i got decent payouts(say 800),but I wasnt the only winner. Def a good wager.

I would say that the Rainbow 6 is the only bet that the serious players don't play! Normal pools are in the $20-30,000 range and you are playing for less than 50% of the pool. When the carryover gets huge or they have to give the pool away is when you will find the serious players jumping in.

Why do we have to knock the small player, with this type of bet everyone can enjoy the races.

Excuse me while I tie myself to the mast and refuse to harken to the Sirens' song.
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.

Lester, God bless the small player. If you believe that the Rainbow 6 offers you value why let math or any other kind of reasonable analysis get in your way? You can enjoy this bet but thankfully I don't have to. But I am with you in demanding $.10 trifectas, exactas, etc. All except the the California P-6.

Bingo! Lester, I honestly feel you and Andy are on the same page 99.7% of the time. As soon he agrees with you and me that 12-1 shots are the best bets in racing, it'll be 100%. Vince P

Mr Andy, I look at the Rainbow P6 the same way I look at lotteries. Sure the odds of winning are miniscule but to me its worth a few bucks. You can't win the monster jackpots unless you play.
