Gee, do you think that this experiment is set up for failure? The track does about $477 of handle each night and most of that is from out of state. So let's limit the exchange wagering to California residents only. The exchange markets will have no liquidity resulting in a total lack of interest thus serving as Exhibit A why the thoroughbred tracks should not allow it.

I am sure that if Nittz can get a few of his "8 to 9 figure clients" to wager on Cal Expo the exchange wagering experiment will be a complete success.

A comment by Betfair’s U.S. chief Stephen Burn during the recent California Horse Racing Board meeting stood out to me as possibly indicating that the bosses back in London are growing impatient with the time it’s taking to get exchange betting started in the colonies where Betfair owns TVG.
