Ambitious project includes two trackside hotels, enlarged grandstand and giant Pegasus statue atop 4D theater

HALLANDALE BEACH — — The operators of Gulfstream Park intend to begin an ambitious expansion of the facility early next year with the aim of hosting year-round racing and returning the Breeders' Cup to South Florida.

The development plan being formulated by The S tronach Group includes two hotels facing the track, greatly enlarged grandstand seating, as well as a stand-alone casino and adjacent concert hall. A giant statue of Pegasus will adorn a 4D theater nearby in a park area....

Would be nice to put Gulfstream Park back in the Breeder's Cup picture.

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Frankie cut the seating capacity of Gulf-a-Stream from 37,000 to 7,000 a few years back?

Calder has a 13-month meeting now, wonder what they think of it?

Anyone remember the hot, humid BC at GP when the Euros were sweating through their Winter coats?
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.

Euro participation will suffer along with my interest in a BC in South Florida.

At least NO ONE would be allowed to race on Lasix when it is ridiculously hot and humid :) Doubt anyone would bleed under those conditions.
