my luck sucks

so i go over to a local casino with short money this morning
played a straight early p4 for $10.00 one horse in each race
i get back to my seat and see that the teller gave me th wrong horse in the 1st leg #6 i wanted #9
so i go change my ticket. sure enough #6 wins the 1st leg then my next 3 horses win, so i turned in a winning ticket
that paid $1120.00. but of course had i not changed it the #9 would have won the 1st leg

Two rules I follow at the track:

1. NEVER cash in a ticket called or punched in error. Beg, borrow, or steal the money to buy the correct bet, and keep them both.

2. ALWAYS follow rule no. 1.

Lester i miss reading the DRF, i miss the challenge of figuring how the race will set-up, i miss the suspense in having a live ticket in a pick 3-4-5 with a chance of big payday, but i don't miss the deceptions, the lies, the evil. the dark side of the backstretch.

I miss me, the way i used to be in my youth, enjoying life away from the races, I've lost 30 plus years, it's my time to enjoy the little things in life.
